Xiangqi

Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.

Shift your pieces according to their individual movement rules. The General can only travel one square at a time within the palace. Advisors must stay within diagonal moves within the palace. Elephants move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot move to the opponent's side. Horses move one square straight and then one square diagonally, unless obstructed by adjacent pieces. Chariots move any number of squares straight, acting as powerful attackers. Catapults move like chariots but must capture by hopping over exactly one piece. Soldiers move forward one square and attack sideways after crossing the river. Capture the opponent's general to win the game. Strategize your moves carefully to outmaneuver the computer opponent.
